摘要: An apparatus and methods for estimating a chromaticity of illumination from raw image data. In an embodiment, one or more image chromaticity weight is determined based on a distance between the raw image data in a sensor chromaticity space and a nearest point within a locus of sensor illumination chromaticities. In a further embodiment, one or more image chromaticity weight is determined based on a disparity among normalized color channel values. In certain embodiments, image chromaticity estimates are utilized to determine a white point estimate for the raw image data. In embodiments, an electronic device including a camera estimates the chromaticity value of raw image data captured by the camera as part of an AWB pipeline. The electronic device may further determine, for example as part of the AWB pipeline, a white point estimate based, at least in part, on the raw image data chromaticity value estimate(s).

摘要: Techniques for reducing color artifacts in a digital image are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise logic, at least a portion of which is in hardware, the logic to determine a respective set of error values for each of a set of lens shading correction (LSC) tables, each set of error values describing error associated with application of its corresponding LSC table to a preprocessed image, determine a respective weight for each of the set of LSC tables based on the corresponding set of error values for that LSC table, and generate a composite LSC table for the preprocessed image as a weighted sum of the set of LSC tables, based on the respective weights for the set of LSC tables. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

摘要: Camera control architecture and methods that distribute control responsibilities across hard real-time and soft real-time parts. The operation of digital camera control algorithms can be made less sensitive to timing fluctuations among the various systems within a device platform that includes a camera module (CM) and/or image signal processing (ISP) pipeline. Real-time dispatch of control parameter values may be offloaded from a controller responsible for generating control parameter values. With relaxed timing requirements, camera control algorithm libraries may be developed independent of lower-level hardware responsible for managing the dispatch of control parameter values to the CM and/or ISP.
