    Abstract: A calibration method of an image scanning system is provided. Initially, differences between adjacent sensing values of a calibration plate are respectively determined and then stored in a memory. Alternately, a difference between a base value and each of the sensing values of the calibration plate is determined and then stored in the memory. When a normal scan action is executed, simultaneously reading each difference from the memory and adding to one corresponding sensing value of image information of an object obtained by the normal scan action. As a result, the memory volume for storing calibration data is reduced and the reading of calibration data is also facilitated.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a calibration method and circuit for outputting an average calibration value used in an image-capture apparatus. The calibration circuit comprises difference means accepting a plurality of digital signals from capturing a pixel of a calibration chart. The difference means is for operating each digital signal with subtracting a base value, and whereby filters any aberrant digital signal. Divider means accepts the digital signals for operating each digital signal with dividing a number of scanned times, and whereby prevents an operation of any signal from overflowing.     Abstract: The present invention provides a determination method to obtain the optimum image output quality. The method comprising the standard white plate is scanned prior to the scanning document sheet to obtain a first image data. Then, the first image data is calculated to generate the shading curve, noise level, and brightness data, which corresponding to each sensor device. Next, the shading curve or standard values returned to input into the calibration database. Thereafter, the scanning device scanned and exposed the document sheet to obtain a second imaging data that corresponding to each sensor device and to read out the standard curve (shading curve) from the calibration memory simultaneously. Next, a determination method utilized to determine the difference value between the two pixels at neighboring position, if the difference value is smaller than the standard value, then the two neighboring pixels is to be averaged and outputted the average value; else, the output pixel value is equal to the original position of the pixel value.     Abstract: The present invention provides a calibration method used in an image-capture apparatus. The method comprises providing a calibration chart not built in the image-capture apparatus. Users can select any kind of calibration chart by themselves. The calibration chart consists of pixels arranged in a two-dimensional array, which can prevent dark lines on the output of a scanned article. The information of the calibration chart is captured by the image-capture apparatus and then subjected to a correction means, such as a low-pass filter, whereby corrects aberrance of the information.

The mapping method implemented by the apparatus comprises receiving a digital signal having a high-bit portion and a low-bit portion.
