    摘要: A receptacle assembly includes a contact module including a holder having a first side and an opposite second side. The holder holds a plurality of contacts. The contacts extend from the holder for electrical termination. A first ground shield is coupled to the first side. The first ground shield has grounding beams extending forward of the holder for electrical connection to a header assembly. The first ground shield has ground skewers extending into the holder. A second ground shield is coupled to the second side. The second ground shield has grounding beams extending forward of the holder for electrical connection to the header assembly. The second ground shield has ground skewers extending into the holder and the frame assembly. The ground skewers of the second ground shield engage and electrically connect to corresponding ground skewers of the first ground shield.

    摘要: A header connector includes a header housing and a contact array of header contacts coupled to the header housing. The header contact has a mating pin at a mating end. The mating pin has a first side and a second side. The mating pin has a tip at a front of the mating pin. The mating pin has a top mating interface remote from and rearward of the tip configured to engage a first flexible contact finger of a receptacle contact. The mating pin has a bottom mating interface remote from and rearward of the tip configured to engage a second flexible contact finger of the receptacle contact. The header contact has an edge mating interface at the first side proximate to the tip configured to engage the receptacle contact.

    摘要: A receptacle assembly includes a receptacle housing and a contact module received in the housing. The contact module includes a tray having a cavity defined by inner surfaces of the tray. Ground inlays are received in the cavity along corresponding inner surfaces. The ground inlays have ground slats and ground flanges extending from the ground slats. A frame assembly is received in the cavity of the tray between the ground inlays. The frame assembly is electrically shielded by the ground inlays and has a plurality of receptacle signal contacts arranged in differential pairs carrying differential signals. The ground slats extend along opposite sides of corresponding pairs of the receptacle signal contacts and the ground flanges extend between pairs of the receptacle signal contacts.

    摘要: Cable assembly includes a communication cable having first and second insulated wires. Each of the first and second insulated wires has a signal conductor and an insulation layer that surrounds the signal conductor. The cable assembly also includes a circuit carrier that is coupled to the communication cable and has first and second signal pathways. Each of the first and second signal pathways includes a leading conductive surface and a trailing conductive surface that are separated from each other. The signal conductors of the first and second insulated wires are coupled to the trailing conductive surfaces of the first and second signal pathways, respectively. Each of the first and second signal pathways includes a corresponding signal-control component that electrically couples the separated leading and trailing conductive surfaces.
