In response to a user's operation, a selected or non-selected state of an operating part of each option, or a display attribute may be changed. When a display attribute of an option is changed, information corresponding to a type of the selection operating part having the option and a selected or non-selected state of the operating part having the option is registered as the priority setting information.

The processor executes a multi-application in which a plurality of applications is combined, each of the applications configured to input, process, and output image data; displays a screen including display areas to enter input- and output-setting items; displays a multi-application screen including a feedback display area; identifies, when a content of the input- and output-setting items is changed for one application of the applications, another application for which a content of the input- and output-setting items is changed by the setting change for the one application; identifies a difference before and after the change in the content of the input- and output-setting items of the another application; and switches a display of the feedback display area in accordance with the difference to setting-change-influence information.

摘要： An image reading apparatus includes a contact glass having a light control glass part having transmittance changeable by an applied voltage; a scanner part reading an original placed on an original placement surface of the contact glass and outputting image data in a storage part; a projector part projecting image information onto the contact glass from a side opposite to the original placement surface; and a control part controlling the voltage applied to the light controlling glass part. When the scanner part is operated, the control part causes the transmittance of the contact glass to increase and the projector part stops projecting the image information, and when the scanner part is not operated, the control part causes the transmittance of the contact glass to decrease and the projector part projects the image data stored in the storage part onto the contact glass.

When the recognizing unit recognizes a ground tint pattern in an image read, the controlling unit controls the processing unit to perform a special processing on the image. When the detecting unit detects an abnormality in the recognizing unit, the controlling unit controls the image forming apparatus according to the abnormality.

摘要： In an image processing apparatus, a limit check procedure compares a capacity necessary for storing designated image files to be transferred and the residual memory capacity of a destination to which the image files should be transferred. The procedure determines whether or not the transfer of the image files is allowable on the basis of the result of comparison. This procedure is executed before and during the transfer of image files. The procedure executed before transfer obviates transfer failure when the image files are transferred to an external storage implemented by a CD-R or similar write limiting type of storing medium; in this case, the procedure is not necessary during transfer. In the event of transfer to a work memory built in the apparatus, even if transfer is allowed before transfer, the procedure is executed during transfer in order to produce an alarm when transfer becomes unallowable.

摘要： An image processing apparatus includes a hard disk drive, an external image storing device for writing image data in a removable storing medium, and a memory for storing list data representative of a list of the image data stored in the hard disk drive or the storing medium. A main controller urges the operator of the apparatus to select, among the image data stored in the hard disk, desired image data to be written to the storing medium via an operation panel. When the image data selected are sequentially written to the storing medium, the main controller updates the list data of the memory every time one image data is written to the storing medium. After all the image data selected have been written to the storing medium, the controller updates the list data of the memory and causes the updated list data to be written to the storing medium.

摘要： An image processing apparatus including an input device for inputting image data, a storage device for storing image data from the input device, and a controlling device. The controlling device controls the parallel operations of a) writing image data into the storage device, and 2) reading image data from the storage device. Therefore, fast output is possible. Moreover, in a book copying mode, when copying two facing-pages with a scanner, copies of the first of two facing-pages are printed while the second of the two facing pages is scanned. As a result, this apparatus and the corresponding method enable a document to be changed easily and prevent extended holding times by an operator when using book copy mode.
