    摘要: An image-sharing server of an image-sharing system acquires candidate storage data including an update image currently displayed on an image-providing terminal. When, for instance, a predetermined reception band of a second image-receiving terminal is narrower than an optimum transmission band of the image-providing terminal, the image-sharing server specifies the last update data in an order for the update data to be stored in a second transmission buffer as comparison data. Further, when determining that an update region of the comparison data is included in an update region of the candidate storage data, the image-sharing server deletes the comparison data and stores the candidate storage data in the second transmission buffer. Subsequently, the image-sharing server transmits the update data of the second transmission buffer to a second receiving terminal in the order for the update data to be stored to update the image currently displayed on the second image-receiving terminal to update data.

    摘要: Image data is transmitted from an image input apparatus to an information processing apparatus. Specific information (e.g., photographing information) that specifies the image data, and identification information (e.g., a disk name) that identifies an optical disk on which the image data is recorded, are added to the image data. Further, the specific information and the identification information are stored in a storage device. Subsequently, specific information that matches with an input keyword is searched from the specific information stored in the storage device. Then, the searched specific information and the identification information corresponding to the searched specific information are displayed in a list on a display. By performing a keyword adding process and an image searching process, the optical disk containing desired image data can be easily specified. Therefore, desired image data recorded on the optical disk can be easily searched.

    摘要: A camera 1 comprises first and second camera systems 3, 5. The first camera system 3 is a high resolution camera which captures images (so-called nullkey framesnull) at a relatively low rate, whilst the second camera system 5 is a low resolution camera which captures images (so-called nullvideo framesnull) at a higher rate. Accordingly, a plurality of video frames are captured between each key frame. An application program is provided, either in a PC 13 to which the frames are downloaded, or in the camera 1 itself. The main purpose of the application program is to decide which of the captured frames should be stored, and which should be discarded (i.e. by a deletion or replacement operation) thereby freeing-up memory. This is performed by means of the application program performing an analysis of the image content in the frames, assigning a quality factor to the image content based on the composition quality of the image content, and updating memory to remove frames which have a quality factor indicating a lower composition quality than a subsequently captured frame. Thus, only those frames having nullinterestingnull content will be saved, and those frames which are poor in terms of their content or composition will not occupy memory if a better frame is identified.
