摘要: A system for monitoring surgical objects is provided. An entry scanner captures a first set of image data from a surgical object identifier. A containment surface defines a target field of view. An exit scanner captures a second set of image data from a surgical object identifier within the target field of view. A monitoring system is electrically connected to at least one of the entry and exit scanners. The monitoring system has a surgical object recognition module having a database of pre-existing surgical object identifier data. The surgical recognition module identifies at least one of the number of surgical objects, the type of surgical objects, and the number of each type of surgical objects from the first and second sets of image data by comparing the first and second sets of image data with the pre-existing surgical object identifier data.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for graphical-based management and documentation of longitudinal care episodes. As one example, a system to manage a longitudinal care episode for a patient can include a patient data aggregator, executable by a processor, to provide context data for the patient, at least a portion of the context data including patient data associated with multiple phases of the longitudinal care episode. A tool manager can translate user interactions with an associated graphical user interface (GUI) into corresponding discrete concepts. The corresponding discrete concepts can be stored in memory as part of longitudinal episode data for the patient, the longitudinal episode data being generated based on the context data and in response to user interactions with the GUI to facilitate documentation and management of the longitudinal care episode.

摘要: This disclosure relates to a visualization tool that can be implemented to facilitate medical decision making by providing an interactive whiteboard of relevant health data. The interactive whiteboard can include interactive graphical elements representing health data objects and relationships among objects that can be manipulated or modified in response to graphical user interface controls.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for predicting clinical parameters. A model of a plurality of models having a sufficient accuracy, given a received set of predictors, is selected. A value for a clinical parameter is predicted from the selected model and the set of predictors to provide a predicted value. A value for the clinical parameter is measured, and the model is updated according to the set of predictors and the measured value.

摘要: An apparatus for repairing the function of a diseased valve includes a tubular first support member which is expandable to a first average diameter and has oppositely disposed proximal and distal first support member ends. A tubular second support member is spaced axially apart from the first support member and is expandable to a second average diameter that is smaller than the first average diameter. The second support member has oppositely disposed proximal and distal second support member ends. A tubular graft section interconnects the first and second support members and has oppositely disposed proximal and distal graft section ends axially spaced apart by a graft section body. The proximal graft section end is connected directly to the distal first support member end and the distal graft section end is connected directly to the proximal second support member end.

摘要: An orthopaedic fixation apparatus includes a first retainer section and a second retainer section. The second retainer section is separable from the first retainer section. A first fastener is insertable into a first opening and a second fastener insertable into a second opening. A retention member is engageable with the first fastener and with the second fastener. The retention member is elongated and flexible. The retention member contacts and extends at least partially around a head portion of the first fastener and extends to a head portion of the second fastener, and also contacts and extends at least partially around a head portion of the second fastener.

摘要: A system includes an interface to define one or more steps of a workflow, each step having at least one action to perform a task for an enterprise. The one or more steps of the workflow and the at least one action to perform the task are defined as an abstraction layer to select preprogrammed instruction code blocks to implement the action. A logic flow generator processes the workflow from the browser interface to generate a configuration file that defines executable actions representing the workflow from the selected instruction code blocks specified by the abstraction layer.
