Abstract:
A stable .alpha.-type titanyl phthalocyanine composition including an .alpha.-type titanyl phthalocyanine and a metal-free phthalocyanine is disclosed having a wide range of absorption wavelengths and high in spectral sensitivity. The method for making the phthalocyanine composition is carried out by pigmenting a concentrated sulfuric acid solution containing at least titanyl phthalocyanine by an acid paste process. The concentrated sulfuric acid solution is poured into water to produce an .alpha.-type titanyl phthalocyanine composition which is stable to withstand the impact of aging. Also disclosed is an electrophotographic sensitive material which includes a sensitive layer having the .alpha.-type titanyl phthalocyanine composition superposed on an electroconductive substrate. This electrophotographic sensitive material excels in its charging property and its dark attenuation property and exhibits high sensitivity and low residual potential. The electrophotographic sensitive material having a sensitive layer comprising the .alpha.-type titanyl phthalocyanine composition and an electric charge transferring material can also be superposed on an electroconductive substrate. This electrophotographic photosensitive material exhibits an oxidation potential in the ranage of 0.45 to 0.65 eV, enjoys high sensitivity, and shows low residual potential.

A fluorescent lamp including a curved glass bulb that has a layer including a phosphor layer on an inner surface, mercury and a rare gas enclosed inside, and a pair of electrodes at both ends, and when a tube inner diameter (mm) of the glass bulb is plotted on a horizontal axis of an orthogonal coordinate system and a total amount of CO2 and CO (mol %) contained in gas present inside the glass bulb is plotted on a vertical axis of the orthogonal coordinate system, the tube inner diameter and the total amount of CO2 and CO are in a predetermined area or on a boundary thereof, the predetermined area being bounded by line segments AB, BC, CD, and DA that connect a point A (1.5 mm, 0.008 mol %), a point B (4.0 mm, 0.0005 mol %), a point C (4.0 mm, 0 mol %), and a point D (1.5 mm, 0 mol %) in the stated order. As a result, a fluorescent lamp that has no illumination failure caused by snaking can be obtained even though the fluorescent lamp is in a curved shape.

Abstract:
The improved package of thermal recording sheets comprises a container of a stack of thermal recording sheets and a humidity control agent that is secured to the container having an opening through which the thermal recording sheets can be taken out individually. The improved magazine comprises an enclosure for accommodating sheetings that have their sensitivity varied with humidity changes, a cover that is adapted to be opened or closed with respect to the enclosure and a mechanism for engaging the cover with the enclosure, wherein all areas of the cover that mate with the enclosure are furnished with a moisture resisting structure. Both the package and magazine ensure that a plurality of sheetings such as thermal recording films that are highly sensitive to moisture can be held at all times in a desired humidity environment in a moisture controlled state, especially in the interior of a thermal image recording apparatus. In addition, the thermal recording sheets can be easily supplied to the thermal image recording apparatus without touching them directly by hand and, hence, images of high quality can be recorded in a consistent manner.
Abstract:
An electric driving device for openable members in which an openable member is opened and closed by rotation of driving shafts provided on right and left sides. The device includes a motor which rotates the driving shafts via a reduction mechanism, and switching relays which switch the rotational direction of the motor. Open and close command switches command the opening and closing of the openable member and a rotation synchronization sensor associated with the motor generates pulses synchronized with the rotation of the motor. A mechanical stopper limits the rotation of the driving shaft which is rotated via the reduction mechanism of the motor and a motor lock detecting means detects locking of the motor by detecting the pulse width generated by the rotation synchronization sensor. Also, an actuation stopping arrangement stops the actuation of an actuation device which supplies current to the motor if a signal is generated by the detection apparatus that detects locking of the motor.
