摘要: A touch sensor is provided with different operational modes. One mode may be the operation of the touch sensor with a reduced set of transmitting rows than another mode. Transmitting on a reduced set of rows from the normal set of transmitting rows provides an operational mode that is able to detect touch events at greater distances from the touch surface than when a full set of transmitting rows is being driven.

摘要: An infusion system including two infusors is operatively connected to a source of infusion signals. In an embodiment, the infusors being adapted for attachment to different parts of the same hand of a user. In an embodiment, the infusors are embedded in a glove or other wearable component. In an embodiment, a choke is used to mitigate infusion signals in other parts of a body. The infusion signal source is configured to transmit differing, orthogonal signals to the two infusors. In an embodiment, each of the differing signals is made up of at least a high frequency signal and a low frequency signal. In an embodiment, the high frequency signal and the low frequency signal are at least one octave apart and orthogonal to each other. In an embodiment, the infusion system includes a steering wheel sensor made from a plurality of conductors attached to a receiver.

摘要: A mutual capacitive touch sensor is provided having a sensing area comprising at least three conductive elements. The three elements are oriented on a substrate such that they are all conductively isolated, and that within the sensing area of the substrate two of the elements cross, but the third does not. The three elements are further organized on the substrate such that each of the crossing elements has a relationship with the non-crossing element such that for any two points on a crossing element, the nearest point to each on the non-crossing conductor is a different distance away. A fourth element (non-crossing) may be added that has the same relationship with the crossing elements. Repeating use of the three or four element patterns can be used to cover wider areas. The senor may be configured in a single layer with one bridge per cross, or on multiple layers, such as on opposite sides of a substrate. Rectangular sensors, for example, may be configured with all electrical access on a single edge, permitting near bezel-less designs on three edges.

摘要: A touch sensitive keyboard is disclosed. In one embodiment, a touch sensitive keyboard is provided that has a touchpad area separate from the keyboard keys. The keyboard is configured to disabled touchpad sensitivity when certain touch signals are received. In another embodiment, a touch sensitive keyboard is used as a controller. In a controller mode, keys on a touch sensitive keyboard are adapted to output a signal strength corresponding to a distance between the key and a finger operating as a control. In an embodiment, a touch sensitive keyboard includes a processor adapted to output a keystroke in response to one of the plurality of touch sensitive keys being pressed, and to output one or more touch points determined by interpolating signal strength for each of the plurality of touch sensitive keys on the keyboard.
