    Abstract: A control device for an internal combustion engine includes an electronic control unit configured to execute dither control processing in a first mode and a second mode. The dither control processing is processing for operating a fuel injection valve such that an air-fuel ratio of at least one cylinder among cylinders becomes lean air-fuel ratio, and an air-fuel ratio of cylinders different from the at least one cylinder becomes rich air-fuel ratio when a condition that a regeneration request of the filter occurs is established. In the second mode, an absolute value of the difference between the air-fuel ratio in the lean combustion cylinder and the air-fuel ratio in the rich combustion cylinder smaller than in the first mode.

    Abstract: An exhaust purification device includes a PM filter and a differential pressure sensor for the PM filter, and calculates a first estimated amount PMf based on the operating state of the internal combustion engine and a second estimated amount PMc based on the differential pressure. The exhaust purification device performs an anomaly determination of the differential pressure sensor based on the state of the differential pressure sensor from stopping of the internal combustion engine to a startup thereof, and corrects the first estimated amount PMf based on the second estimated amount PMc when starting the internal combustion engine. The exhaust purification device calculates, as the PM deposition amount Pr, the larger value of the first and second estimated amounts, and starts a filter regeneration control of the PM filter when the PM deposition amount Pr is equal to or more than a first predetermined amount.

    Abstract: An exhaust purification system includes a filter, an oxygen supply device, and a controller. The filter is configured to trap particulate matters contained in exhaust gas of an engine. The oxygen supply device is configured to supply oxygen contained in intake air of the engine to the filter. The controller is configured to execute filter regeneration processing to oxidize and remove the particulate matters deposited on the filter. The filter regeneration processing includes regeneration processing during an engine stop that is executed during a shut-down of the engine. In the regeneration processing during the engine stop, a future temperature of the filter is calculated. Then, an operation amount of the oxygen supply device is variably set based on a result of comparing the future temperature with an upper limit temperature of the filter.

The ambient air amount control unit starts an ambient air amount increasing process that controls the adjustment mechanism so that the amount of ambient air flowing into the engine compartment is increased when the temperature raising process is being executed from that when the temperature raising process is not being executed.
