Abstract: Processing circuitry of an in-vehicle cooling system regulates the flow rate of the coolant passing through a radiator, thereby regulating the coolant temperature to a target coolant temperature. The processing circuitry sets the target coolant temperature to a specified standard target coolant temperature when the engine is not operating in a specified temperature increase permitting range, and sets the target coolant temperature to a high target coolant temperature, which is higher than the standard target coolant temperature, when the engine is operating in the temperature increase permitting range. The processing circuitry changes the target coolant temperature in the temperature increase permitting range to a temperature lower than the high target coolant temperature and higher than or equal to the standard target coolant temperature, when the hydraulic oil temperature is higher than or equal to a specified temperature increase suppressing temperature.

Abstract: An engine device includes an engine including an in-cylinder injection valve and a spark plug, an exhaust gas control device, and a controller. The controller is configured to perform a last fuel injection from the in-cylinder injection valve in an expansion stroke and to set a fuel injection amount for the last fuel injection in expansion stroke injection driving, based on a coolant start temperature, post-start time, and volumetric efficiency. The expansion stroke injection driving is a control that is performed by performing the ignition by the spark plug in synchronization with the fuel injection in the expansion stroke.

Abstract: A cooling system of an internal combustion engine includes an adjustment valve configured to adjust a flow rate of a cooling liquid discharged from a water jacket. A controller for the cooling system includes circuitry configured to execute flow-restriction control that controls the adjustment valve to restrict discharge of the cooling liquid from the water jacket, thereby increasing temperature of an engine body. The circuitry is configured to execute the flow-restriction control so that temperature of the cooling liquid in the water jacket at which the flow-restriction control is terminated is lower when an ambient pressure is low than when the ambient pressure is high.
