Abstract: Disclosed is a measurement device including: a distance measurement unit that has a light-generating element, a measurement light emission unit, a light reception unit, and a light reception element and measures a distance to a measurement target on the basis of a light reception signal; a deflection unit that is capable of performing scanning with measurement light; and a control unit that controls the distance measurement unit and the deflection unit. The control unit finds a surface of the measurement target, generates a grid having lines that are arranged at regular intervals on the surface of the measurement target and include a component parallel to a reference direction and a component perpendicular to the reference direction, and controls a deflection behavior of the deflection unit so that a scanning track of the measurement light traces the lines of the grid.

Abstract: An inner frame is rotatably supported by the outer frame through a first shaft, a tilt detecting unit has a tilt sensor and is rotatably supported by the inner frame through a second shaft orthogonal to the first shaft, a first encoder is provided on the first shaft, a second encoder is provided on the second shaft, the tilt detecting device includes the motors provided on the respective shafts so that the respective shafts are rotated, and an arithmetic processing module which drives and controls the respective motors, in which the arithmetic processing module is configured to drive the respective motors so that the tilt sensor detects the horizontality based on a signal issued by the tilt sensor and to calculate a tilt of the outer frame based on the outputs from the first and second encoders when the tilt sensor detected the horizontality, and the arithmetic processing module is configured to reverse the tilt detecting unit 180° at least once based on the outputs from the respective encoders in relation to the first shaft and the second shaft in a stationary state of the tilt detecting device, and to perform the calibration of the tilt sensor based on the detection signals output from the tilt sensor before and after the reversal.

Abstract: A technique is provided for measuring attitude of an aerial vehicle without using a highly accurate IMU. A total station (TS) for tracking a UAV includes a laser scanner. The laser scanner is made to emit laser scanning light to the UAV that is flying. The UAV has four identifiable targets, and identification and locating of the four targets are performed by means of laser scanning. The attitude of the UAV is calculated on the basis of the locations of the four targets.
