Abstract: An adhesive composition is provided which exhibits an excellent adhesion rate on metals and low-polarity thermoplastic elastomers, and is excellent in appearance with no clouding of hardened bodies and is good in storage stability. It is a 2-cyanoacrylate-based adhesive composition which includes (a) a 2-cyanoacrylic acid ester and (b) an onium salt represented by the general formula: C+A−(1) where, in formula (1), C+ represents an onium cation, and A− represents a bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide anion.

Abstract: This curable composition can easily reinforce shaped objects and the reinforced shaped objects have good color developability and excellent texture. The curable composition includes a 2-cyanoacrylic acid ester and a surface conditioner, in which the c content of the surface conditioner is 0.001-10 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the 2-cyanoacrylic acid ester, and the surface tension of the composition is 28 mN/m or less at 25° C. Preferred surface conditioners are silicone-based and fluorinated surface conditioners. Reinforced shaped objects and a method for reinforcing shaped objects using the curable composition are also provided.

Abstract: The two-part curable composition has excellent curability, and exhibits flexibility and adhesion durability. The two-part curable composition includes a first reagent containing at least a 2-cyanoacrylic acid ester and a second reagent containing at least a polymer having a hydrolyzable silyl group, in which an elastomer and a curing catalyst for the above polymer are each contained in at least one of the first and second reagents in predetermined amounts. A preferable curing catalyst is a compound having a metal element and an organic group bonded to the metal element via oxygen, or an acid having a pKa of 4 or lower at 25° C. Preferably, a curing accelerator for 2-cyanoacrylic acid ester is contained in at least one of the first and second reagents.
