Abstract: System, method, and computer program product for improving the accuracy of blood glucose measurements in a blood glucose meter by compensating for thermal effects of the glucose meter hardware. A machine learning model is used to predict the reaction site temperature on a blood glucose test strip based on one or more temperature measurements and device status information. The model receives several inputs including at least one temperature measurement sensed near the reaction site as well as device usage and other factors that may influence the reaction site temperature. The model provides a predicted reaction site temperature to the glucometer software or firmware to be used in a blood glucose calculation.

Abstract: Remote health services may be provided, for example, in real time, based on values of health metrics monitored remotely, and in some embodiments, continuously, for a recipient. The system may include a mobile health device configured to continually monitor or intermittently detect values of one or more health metrics. A mobile health device may be locally coupled to a recipient, and may include a health sensor that detects values of one or more health metrics of the recipient. Servers may be remotely coupled to the mobile health device and provide one or more health services based at least in part on health metric values detected by the health device. Providing the services may include determining health communication characteristics, and sending health communications from one or more servers to the mobile health device according to determined health communication characteristics.

Abstract: A mobile health device includes a sensor that monitors values of a health metric of a person, a control component that controls the device to perform actions as part of providing a health service, and components of the device that receive the control signal and perform an action to provide the health service based on the control signal. The components include user output components for producing sound and/or displaying information and where providing the health service includes playing information as sound, displaying information as text, displaying information as motion video, and/or displaying information still images. The control component includes an input that receives audio signals corresponding to the monitored values of the health metric and produces a control signal based on information about the person, including the monitored values of the health metric of the person. The mobile health device may also include a network interface component.
