    Abstract: Providing a seat pad that can provide good sitting comfortability with bonding between a ventilation member and an expanded resin foam included in the seat pad ensured.A seat pad 10 including a ventilation member 20 having a function that lets air through to/from an outside, the seat pad 10 being formed by integral expansion molding of an expandable resin material M with the ventilation member 20 introduced therein, includes a covering member 30 that covers at least a part of the ventilation member 20 at an interface between the ventilation member 20 and the expandable resin material M, and the covering member 30 includes an impregnation inhibiting material having a function that inhibits infiltration of the expandable resin material M, the function being at least higher than that of the ventilation member 20.

    Abstract: In a seat with ventilation property, at least one three-dimensional network cushion element is provided in a foam padding(s) of the seat at at least one point on which at least one body portion of a seat occupant is to be substantially contacted. The three-dimensional network cushion element is formed by a plurality of fibers, each being composed of a core portion and a sheath portion covering the core portion, such that all the fibers are bonded with one another at the respective sheath portions thereof. Preferably, each of the fibers may be an helical fiber of eccentric core type wherein the core portion is eccentrically positioned in the sheath portion. Further, the three-dimensional network cushion element(s) may be arranged in the foam padding so as to prevent intensive exertion of a load from the seat occupant's body portion(s) upon the three-dimensional network cushion element(s).

    Abstract: To provide a seat with ventilative property, which can eliminate or minimize the possibility of its being permanently deformed and settled into an unrecoverable deformed state. In the seat with ventilative property, left and right three-dimensional network cushion elements are provided in a forwardly-facing region of a seat cushion of the seat, in a manner independent of each other, such that the left and right three-dimensional network cushion elements are respectively situated at: one location on which a left thigh portion of a seat occupant is to be contacted; and the other location on which a right thigh portion of the seat occupant is to be contacted. This arrangement can almost completely prevent a direct application of a weight of the seat occupant to the two three-dimensional network cushion elements. Therefore, the present invention has the effect that a permanent downward settling of the seat cushion SC can be prevented, so that a short life of the seat due to such permanent settling may be substantially avoided.

    Abstract: A headrest including: a trim cover element formed in a three-dimensional bag-like configuration, a fiber assembly; and a foam padding. The fiber assembly and foam padding are both provided within the trim cover element in such a manner that the fiber assembly is secured to and positioned on a front surface side of the trim cover element, whereas the foam padding is positioned on a rear surface side of the fiber assembly. The foam padding has been created by a foaming process so as to be integral with the trim cover element and fiber assembly.
