    摘要: A reciprocating axial displacement mechanism is disclosed generally comprising a housing, a rotating device, a displacement device having first and second undulating surfaces disposed in the housing, and a cam connected to the rotating device and disposed between the first and second undulating surfaces. The cam either has an undulating shape or has first and second undulating surfaces such that, as the cam rotates with the rotating device, the cam slides along the first and second undulating surfaces of the displacement device to cause the displacement device to move back and forth along the longitudinal axis of the rotating device. In certain embodiments, the displacement device is a pumping device, or an actuator for a pumping device, in a compressor.

In various embodiments, the shoe protectors may be fabricated from transparent or translucent polymers such that the aesthetic appearance of the underlying shoe is still visible. The rigidity and/or thickness of the shoe protector vary from one embodiment to another depending upon the intended use of that embodiment. Some embodiments of the present invention comprise tread to minimize slipping between the shoe protector and an underlying floor or subgrade. Various embodiments of the shoe protector comprise a forward lip and/or an aft cantilevered tab to facilitate ease of use. The shoe cover has a front portion, a rear portion and a sole portion.

    摘要: Described herein is a method and system for encoding video data. The design comprises a two pass encoding system with bi-direction control to and from a classification engine. In the first pass coder, a future picture is encoded to produce a set of parameters that characterize the future picture. In the second pass coder a current picture is encoded to produce a video output. The classification engine is the center of perceptual enhancement. The classification engine interprets the set of parameters from the first pass coder and classifies the current picture.

    摘要: A local oscillator calibrator comprises a main charge pump that drives a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) through a loop filter. A second, replica charge pump can also drive the VCO, but is setup to output only its most positive or most negative analog output control voltage. Since the construction and characteristics of the replica charge pump duplicate the main charge pump, the main charge pump's minimum and maximum analog control outputs can be cloned out to the VCO on demand. A VCO calibration procedure therefore includes switching the VCO to each of its ranges set by a bank of fixed capacitors, and using the replica charge pump to drive the VCO to its minimum and maximum frequency for each range setting. The min-max frequency data is stored in a lookup table, and operational requests to switch to a new channel frequency can be supported with a priori information about which fixed-capacitor range selection will be best.

    摘要: A method and system can provide building energy performance metrics that can help identify specific zones within a building which may have energy efficiency problems. The method and system can collect data from: indoor temperature sensors and humidity sensors present in each zone of a building; one or more temperature sensors and humidity sensors present outside of the building; one or more utility meters; and one or more HVAC devices. This data from the sensors can be aggregated and formed into a first profile. The energy efficiency calculation system can analyze the first profile to provide various energy performance metrics which can include, but are not limited to, energy efficiency ratios for air conditioners, the R-value or thermal resistance of the building, an amount of heat loss for the building, energy consumption by the building, current HVAC performance parameters, and utility usage comparisons.
