摘要: An apparatus (16) for preventing stagnation in a fluid reservoir (2) comprised of: an inlet/outlet conduit (6); a manifold (8), which communicates the inlet/outlet conduit (6) to inlet check valves (10) and outlet check valves (12); the inlet check valves (10) being positioned on the manifold (8) and being oriented such that a fluid (14) will flow from the manifold (8) through the inlet check valves (10) to the reservoir (2) during reservoir filling and fluid flow is prevented through the inlet check valves (10) during reservoir draining; and the outlet check valves (12) being positioned on the manifold (8) and spaced from the inlet check valves (10) to provide fluid flow within the reservoir (2) in the general direction from the inlet check valves (10) to the outlet check valves (12), the outlet check valves (12) being oriented such that fluid flows from the reservoir (2) through the outlet check valves (12) into the manifold (8) during reservoir draining and fluid flow through the outlet check valves (12) is prevented during reservoir filling.

摘要: A tubular metal sleeve having two annular welding end collars and a flexible intermediate sleeve portion between the collars is mounted in a bore of a housing. The sleeve permits passage of high temperature pressurized fluids impervious to the sleeve. The sleeve forms part of a gauge for detecting the pressure of the fluid. A spacer may be mounted in a space formed between the sleeve and the housing to reduce the quantity of pressure-transmitting liquid required to fill the space.

摘要: A tide gate check valve in which at least three converging sides are provided at a tapered region of a flexible sleeve, so that on reverse back pressure build-up of fluid, reverse fluid flow is prevented, while the valve sleeve does not invert or collapse. The present configuration features embedded reinforcing elements for resisting inversion or collapsing when the back pressure builds up. This feature is especially important for large-sized conduits of 36" or 72" diameter, or even larger, such as are common in storm sewer applications.

摘要: A flow control pinch valve comprises a flexible outer sleeve and a flexible inner sleeve concentrically disposed within and spaced from the outer sleeve, wherein the inner sleeve defines a passageway for allowing fluid to pass therethrough. The sleeves are attached to each other at each end thereof and adapted to be attached to an inner surface of a fluid conduit. An annular space for receiving pressurized fluid is defined between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve such that the inner sleeve is configured to deflect inwardly thereby controlling fluid flow through the passageway. A first clamping ring is concentrically disposed within the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve at one end; and a second clamping ring is concentrically disposed within the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve at an opposite end, wherein the clamping rings are used to secure the control valve within a pipe.

摘要: An asymmetrical check valve has an inlet end, a transition part and an outlet end, with a pair of vertical lips facing one another. The lips may be flat or they may be curvilinear. The check valve is asymmetric about a horizontal longitudinal plane through the check valve. The bottoms of the transition part and outlet end may be aligned, with a major portion of the lips extending above the horizontal plane. It is thus possible to install conventional or wide bill check valves in installations with little or no clearance between the outlet end and ground level.

摘要: An inversion-resistant check valve or tide gate valve which comprises a sleeve bounding in a longitudinally-extending flow-through passage for fluids. The sleeve has an upstream fluid inlet end region mountable on a discharge end of a conduit which is elongated along a longitudinal axis of symmetry. The sleeve also has a downstream fluid outlet end region comprised of two or more lips which are opposed to each other and symmetrically arranged relative to the axis, wherein the lips extend a defined length along the axis, the defined length being within the range of about 1:1.5 to 1:9 times the diameter of the conduit.
