摘要: There is provided an image processing apparatus and an image processing method that are capable of suppressing an increase in loads when a point cloud is generated from a mesh. Point cloud data is generated by positioning points at intersection points between a surface of a mesh and vectors each including, as a start origin, position coordinates corresponding to a specified resolution. For example, intersection determination is performed between the surface of the mesh and each of the vectors, and in a case where the surface and the vector are determined to intersect each other, the coordinates of the intersection point are calculated. The present disclosure can be applied to an image processing apparatus, electronic equipment, an image processing method, a program, or the like.

摘要: In image encoding, to raise the degree of concentration of coefficient energy (concentrate the transform coefficients at low frequencies), there is disclosed the application of a secondary transform different from a primary transform to the transform coefficients after the primary transform. Since the transform coefficients after multiple transforms are applied may be transformed to a different domain than the frequency domain with respect to the original image characteristics, bandwidth control using a scaling list for the frequency domain (quantization matrix) is affected. It is an object to provide a mechanism enabling bandwidth control using a scaling list. The present invention provides an image processing apparatus including a process control section that controls a scaling list process based on transform information related to a transform applied to a processing target block (information indicating whether or not a predetermined transform has been applied, information indicating the number of transforms, etc.).

Image data of a plurality of projection directions is generated by projecting 3D data in a plurality of projection directions and converting the 3D data into two-dimensional data, and projection direction information indicating the projection direction of each piece of the image data is generated as projection metadata. Further, the projection direction information includes additional projection direction identification information that indicates that the image data has been generated by projection in additional projection directions. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a data generation apparatus that generates data for delivering a point cloud.

The motion parallax prediction/compensation unit and a calculation unit generate coded data by coding the current coding image based on the lists (L0 and L1). The present technology, for example, can be applied to an encoding device that codes a 3D image and the like.

摘要: An image processing apparatus and a method capable of reducing an amount of codes in encoding or decoding. A type setting unit uses a deblocked pixel value to set a type of a filter which is common between components of Y, Cb, Cr in units of LCUs, and provides the type to a syntax write unit. An offset setting unit uses a deblocked pixel value to set an offset independent for each of components of Y, Cb, Cr in units of LCUs. An SAO control information setting unit provides the offset or a merge flag, which is set by referring to the offset given by the offset setting unit, to the syntax write unit. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, an image processing apparatus.
