摘要: In a method and magnetic resonance (MR) apparatus for creating a maximum intensity projection of a volume of an examination subject, MR data are acquired for a number of slices of the volume, and an MR image is reconstructed for each of the slices that MR data have acquired in order to create a maximum intensity projection for each of the slices. The maximum intensity projection of the respective slice is shown on a display. The slices, which have a thickness of at least 15 mm, have various slice directions, in order to display the maximum intensity projections from various directions.

摘要: In a magnetic resonance (MR) method and apparatus for reconstructing MR tomography images with variable time resolution, a preliminary reconstruction of preview images takes place, using raw data acquired in a closed time period at different times from the same body region of a patient. Scan data are acquired from the preview images and/or from the raw data, the scan data quantitatively representing the introduction of a contrast medium over a time span. Diagnostic reconstruction parameters are then specified, which designate time portions in which reconstruction is to be conducted with different time resolutions, based on the scan data. The reconstruction of diagnostic MR tomography images then takes place, using the diagnostic reconstruction parameters.

摘要: In a method and magnetic resonance (MR) apparatus for generating a combined MR image of an examination object, a first image data record of an examination object, generated from magnetic resonance data recorded with a first reception coil, is loaded into a computer. A second image data record of the examination object, generated from magnetic resonance data recorded with a second reception coil, wherein the first and the second reception coils are different reception coils, is also loaded into a computer. At least one interim image data record is generated by the computer by applying a mask function to the first and/or second image data record. An interim image data record is combined in the computer with the image data record to which no mask function was applied, or with the other interim image data record, to form a combined MR image.

摘要: Techniques are disclosed for acquiring magnetic resonance data of an object with a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus. A slice group is imaged whose slices define a contiguous imaging volume and which contains a first number of slices. In a number of concatenations, the magnetic resonance data for subgroups of the slices, each containing a respective second number of slices depending on the first number of concatenations, are acquired, and shimming is performed to increase field homogeneity in the imaging volume. To define the subgroups, the imaging volume is subdivided into at least two disjoint contiguous sub-volumes, and at least two subgroups are defined for each sub-volume, each subgroup only containing non-adjacent slices in the sub-volume. During acquisition of the magnetic resonance data of each subgroup, shimming is at least restricted to the respective sub-volume.

摘要: A magnetic resonance data acquisition unit is operated according to an imaging protocol wherein at least one echo spacing exists following radiation of an excitation RF pulse, via an RF channel that includes an RF amplifier, and a subsequent readout of an echo. Loading of the RF amplifier is reduced by lengthening the echo spacing in the imaging protocol. One or more refocusing RF pulses are radiated with a lengthened echo spacing.

摘要: In a magnetic resonance (MR) apparatus and operating method, a first pulse sequence is executed in order to acquire echo signals from a target volume produced by radiation of a radio-frequency (RF) excitation pulse, thereby obtaining an original measurement dataset. A reference measurement dataset is then acquired by executing another pulse sequence immediately after acquisition of the aforementioned echo signals. These steps are repeated until the original measurement dataset has reached a predetermined degree of completeness that is still incomplete according to the Nyquist criterion. The original measurement dataset is then completed using the reference measurement dataset and a parallel acquisition technique.
