摘要： In the present invention, a protective cover is provided with, a base bottom portion and a cover portion which is disposed in the base bottom portion through a hinge. The protective cover can be attached to a connector so as to be fitted with a through-lock portion of the connector and the cover portion is then closed. The base bottom portion is formed in a gutter-shape and the rear end side of the base bottom portion is partially closed by a closing portion. In the present invention, a protective cover is also provided with, a cylindrical cover main body to be fitted with a connector, and a pair of opening-and-closing members disposed on the cover main body through hinges. The protective cover further includes securing holes for securing the opening-and-closing members to securing projections disposed on the cover main body, and securing pawls and securing frames for engaging the opening-and-closing members with each other.

摘要： A meter is mounted to an instrument panel. The meter has an engaging portion in the form of a projection-like rotation shaft and projections located on the side walls of the meter. The instrument panel has a support groove and guide grooves. The meter is inserted into the instrument panel so that the projection-like rotation portion engages with the support groove of the panel. The meter is rotated about the projection-like rotation portion while the projections on the side wall of the meter engage with the guide grooves of the instrument panel.

摘要： The mating structure includes a bracket defined to be fitted to a base body. The bracket has a guide portion consisting of an inclined portion and a lock opening turned from the inclined portion. The structure further has a first connector pivotably attached to the bracket and a second connector provided on a fitting panel constructed to be attached to the base body. The second connector has an engagement piece associated with the guide portion of the bracket. The fitting panel is pivotable toward the base body side when the first and second connectors have mated completely. The first and second connectors are completely mated with each other when the engagement piece has reached the lock opening. The lock opening is directed perpendicularly to the disengagement direction of the first and second connectors when the fitting panel has completely pivoted toward the base body. The structure may include a third connector mounted on the base body and a fourth connector that is provisionally held by a resilient holding arm formed on the fitting panel. The attachment completion of the fitting panel also allows the complete mating of the third and fourth connectors.

摘要： A shielded connector is provided which makes connection for shielding and sealing for waterproofing at the same time that the connector is directly mounted on a vehicle instrument such as a motor. A connector housing with a terminal fitting-accommodating hole formed therein is provided with a shielding metal shell, into which accommodating hole is fitted a terminal fitting attached to a shielded cable such that the shield of the shielded cable is connected with the metal shell via a connecting member fitted on the shield. The connector housing is further provided on its outer periphery with a flange for fixing the connector housing in a connector-mounting hole formed in the casing of the instrument and with a seal ring for sealing the mounting hole. The metal shell is extended to have a portion thereof exposed on the surface of the flange facing toward the casing.

摘要： To provide a connector with a terminal retaining mechanism which positively prevents an incomplete fit of a terminal retaining member. The connector includes an outer housing connectable to a mating connector is mounted on an outer side of an inner housing receiving terminals, the outer housing is slidably mounted on the inner housing. A retaining member for the terminals is slidingly moved to be engaged in the inner housing through a window hole formed in the outer housing. The retaining member is projected from the window hole when the retaining member is out of engagement with the terminals, and the retaining member is received in the inner housing when the retaining member is engaged with the terminals, thereby allowing the outer housing to slide in a terminal-connecting direction.

摘要： In a connector comprising: a terminal having an electrically contacting spring piece which is accommodated in a surrounding wall in such a manner that it is allowed to protrude through an opening formed in the surrounding wall; and a connector housing into which the terminal is inserted, the spring piece has an electrically contacting portion confronted with the opening, and an slide portion bent in such a manner that it is away from the opening, and the connector housing has a depressing protrusion for depressing the slide portion. As the terminal is inserted into the connector housing, the depressing protrusion depresses the slide portion so as to cause the electrically contacting portion to protrude outside through the opening. Thus, the electrically contacting spring piece of the terminal is protectively held in the terminal until the latter is inserted into the connector housing.

摘要： A coupling confirming mechanism for an electric connector having a first and second connector housings, capable of confirming the proper coupling of the first and second connector housings and double-locking the first and second connector housings. The coupling confirming mechanism comprises: a locking arm having a locking projection formed on the first connector housing; a locking lever pivotally joined at its rear end to the first connector housing and provided at its front end with an insulating projection, and at its front end with locking fingers; locking projections formed on the second connector housing; a break contact formed of a pair of short-circuiting terminals disposed in a short-circuiting terminal chamber formed in the second connector housing. The locking fingers of the locking lever is able to engage the locking projections of the second connector housing and the insulating projection of the same is able to break the break contact only when the first and second connector housings are properly coupled. The first and second connector housings can be double-locked by the engagement of the locking projection of the locking arm and the second connector housing and by the engagement of the locking lever and the second connector housing only when the first and second connector housings are properly coupled.

摘要： A high-current fuse for vehicles is provided. This high-current fuse includes a conductive plate having a fuse and terminal connecting portions on both ends, and a resin case into which the conductive plate is insert-molded. A heat radiating portion for releasing heat generated from the fuse and the conductive plate when energized is provided on the outer surface of the resin case. The heat radiating portion is made up of a plurality of thin plates arranged on the resin case at regular intervals. The thin plates are situated in parallel with the energizing direction so as to strengthen the resin case. To keep the fuse away from both ends of the conductive plate, a pair of assisting plates facing to each other are formed in the middle of the conductive plate, and the fuse is disposed between the assisting plates. The fuse between the assisting plates is in the direction perpendicular to the energizing direction of the conductive plate.
