An ink refill container 63 includes a container main body 64 provided to include an ink chamber 76; an ink outlet forming portion 66 provided at an edge of the container main body to include an ink outlet 65 configured to allow ink to flow out from the ink chamber; a valve 74 provided in the ink outlet forming portion and configured to seal the ink outlet in an openable and closable manner; and a positioning structure configured to abut on part of the ink tank and position the valve relative to the ink tank when the valve is opened. The positioning structure has a positioning surface 84 that is located on an opposite side to a container main body side where the container main body is located, across the valve and that is extended in a direction intersecting with a center axis 85 of the ink outlet.

The communication paths are provided at positions different from the position of the flow-out path and communicate with the first liquid accommodating chamber and the filter chamber.

摘要: A technique of reducing the possibility that a liquid remains in a buffer chamber is provided. There is provided a liquid supply device configured to supply a liquid to a liquid ejection head. The liquid supply device comprises a liquid containing chamber configured to contain the liquid; an air communication path configured to include a first connection portion at one end that is connected with the liquid containing chamber and an air outlet port at the other end that is open to the atmosphere; and a buffer chamber provided in the middle of the air communication path. The air communication path includes a connection path that is located on a downstream side of the buffer chamber in the air communication path in a flow direction of a fluid from the air outlet port toward the liquid containing chamber and is configured to include a second connection portion at an upstream end connected with the buffer chamber. When the first connection portion is exposed to the liquid in the liquid containing chamber, the second connection portion is placed in a lower area in a vertical direction of the buffer chamber.

In a state in which the ink containing portion 100 contains an ink in an amount equal to ½of its ink capacity, when the ink tank 25A is brought into an ink injection orientation, the first atmospheric air introducing inlet 114 is located in a region where the air is present, and the second atmospheric air introducing inlet 124 is located in a region where the ink is present. When the ink tank 25A is rotated upside down by 180° from that orientation and brought into a reversed orientation, the first atmospheric air introducing inlet 114 is located in a region where the ink is present, and the second atmospheric air introducing inlet 124 is located in a region where the air is present.
