Abstract: A vehicle differential includes a planetary gear set, a housing, at least one spider gear, an electric motor, and a first axle shaft. The planetary gear set includes a ring gear, a sun gear, and a planet carrier with a plurality of planets. The housing is fixed to the planet carrier, the at least one spider gear is disposed in the housing, an electric motor output is fixed to the ring gear, and the first axle shaft extends from the spider gear through the electric motor. In an example embodiment, the differential includes a shaft extending through the housing orthogonal to the first axle shaft. The at least one spider gear is four spider gears, a first pair of spider gears is arranged on the shaft, and a third spider gear is drivingly engaged with the first pair of spider gears and the first axle shaft.

Abstract: A vehicle seat rotates in response to activation of an electric motor. The electric motor is part of a non-back-drivable mechanism such that it acts to lock the seat in position. The seat mechanism is assembled from stamped components for efficient manufacturing. A bracket includes integrally formed gear teeth which mesh with gear teeth driven by the electric motor. The bracket is held between two stamped parts using four-point angular contact ball bearings. The races of the ball bearings are stamped into the respective stamped parts.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to an electromechanical drive assembly for a multitrack motor vehicle. The assembly may include a first electric motor having a first rotor, which revolves around a first rotor axis, a first reduction gear, which is driven by the first electric motor and which forms a first power output, which has a first gear output element, which rotates around a first gear output axis, a second electric motor having a second rotor, which revolves around a second rotor axis, and a second reduction gear, which is driven by the second electric motor and which forms a second power output, which has a second gear output element, which rotates around a second gear output axis, wherein the first and the second electric motor are arranged adjacent to one another, the first rotor axis and the second rotor axis are aligned transversely to the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle, and the first and the second reduction gear are connected to the motor pair formed by the first and the second electric motor on oppositely facing sides of said pair.

Abstract: A stamped geartrain cover includes a radially outer flange portion for fixing to a geartrain housing, a dished portion extending axially from the radially outer flange portion, and a stepped protrusion arranged for receiving a first bearing. The stepped protrusion may include a first cylindrical protrusion extending from the dished portion and an annular ring extending radially inward from the first cylindrical protrusion. The stepped protrusion may also include a second cylindrical protrusion, coaxial with the first cylindrical protrusion, extending from the annular ring. The second cylindrical protrusion may include an opening for receiving an axle shaft. The second cylindrical protrusion may be arranged for receiving an axle shaft seal. The first cylindrical protrusion may extend from the annular ring in a first axial direction and the second cylindrical protrusion may extend from the annular ring in a second axial direction, opposite the first axial direction.

Abstract: A hybrid transmission for a front-wheel drive vehicle includes a multi-speed transmission, a differential, an electric motor, and a planetary gear set. The multi-speed transmission includes an input shaft with a first axis. The differential includes a housing with a second axis, radially offset from the first axis. The electric motor is concentric with the second axis. The planetary gear set connects the multi-speed transmission, the differential, and the electric motor. In some example embodiments, the planetary gear set includes a sun gear drivingly engaged with the multi-speed transmission, a planet carrier drivingly engaged with the differential, and a ring gear drivingly engaged with the electric motor.

Abstract: A rotary park lock mechanism includes a flange, a first spring, and a gear. The flange has a park pawl arranged to selectively engage a mating tooth in a transmission gear, and a locking bar pocket. The first spring is arranged to rotate the flange in a first rotational direction to engage the park pawl with the mating tooth. The gear is arranged receive a motor torque to rotate the flange in a second rotational direction, opposite the first direction, to disengage the park pawl from the mating tooth. In an example embodiment, the first spring is a clock spring. In an example embodiment, the gear is a cycloidal drive.

Abstract: A hybrid module includes a torque converter, an electric motor, a cover plate, a connecting pin, a piston, and a pressure plate. The torque converter includes a turbine and an impeller, arranged together to form a hydrodynamic torus. The electric motor includes a rotor with a rotor carrier drivingly engaged with the impeller. The cover plate is fixed to and radially inside of the rotor carrier, and includes a tubular portion with an orifice. The connecting pin is sealed to the tubular portion and extends through the orifice. The piston is disposed on a first axial side of the cover plate, is fixed to the connecting pin, and is arranged to engage a torque converter clutch, and the pressure plate is disposed on a second axial side of the cover plate, opposite the first axial side, is fixed to the connecting pin, and is arranged to engage a K0 clutch.
