摘要: A chemical packer composition having a polyurethane foam with nanoparticles or micron-sized particles for use as an annular chemical packer in openhole horizontal wells is provided. The chemical packer composition may be used in a horizontal well having a screen (for example, a gravel pack screen) and completed using an openhole completion. The chemical packer composition may include, for example, silica nanoparticles or sand micron-sized particles. The chemical packer composition may be placed in an annulus section defined by the wellbore and the screen that traverses one or more fluid producing zones. In some instances, a portion of the chemical packer composition may be selectively removed to open a fluid producing zone to the wellbore and form plugs blocking other fluid producing zones.

摘要: A testing system includes a main wellbore, at least one injection tunnel and production tunnel, a monitoring system including at least one sensor, and a recovering tube. The injection and production tunnels are parallel with each other and extend perpendicularly from the main wellbore. The method for conducting in-situ oil recovery sweep testing includes introducing an injection fluid into a main wellbore and at least one injection tunnel, monitoring conditions of the at least one production tunnel, and collecting produced fluid from the production tunnel with a recovering tube. A method for conducting sequential in-situ oil recovery sweep testing includes locating a recovering tube in a target production tunnel and conducting a sweeping process. The sweeping process includes introducing an injection fluid into an injection tunnel, monitoring conditions of the target production tunnel, collecting a produced fluid from the target production tunnel, isolating the target production tunnel, and repeating.

where n is an integer from 1 to 5 and the ionic liquid monomer has a melting point less than 100° C. A method of making the ionic liquid includes providing a mixture comprising a sulfonic acid and a diamine in a solvent, and maintaining the mixture at a temperature ranging from 10 to 80° C. for a time ranging from 1 to 10 hours to form an ionic liquid monomer having a melting point less than 100° C. A method of making a polymer from the ionic liquid monomer is also provided.-
