Abstract: A system and method for generating and utilizing energy from a well flowback operation while separating and storing a commercial natural gas product is provided. The method includes connecting a portable unit comprising a multiphase turbine, an energy storage system, a multiphase conditioning unit and a plurality of storage units to a production tree during the well flowback operation and channeling a multiphase flow from the production tree to the portable unit. The method includes generating a created energy from channeling the multiphase flow from the production tree to the portable unit and utilizing the created energy by storing or directly consuming the created energy to power well operations. The method further includes separating the multiphase flow into a gas component and a nongaseous component, further conditioning the gas component into a commercial natural gas product and storing the commercial natural gas product in a plurality of storage units.

Abstract: Systems to produce a pond water, pond water compositions, and methods for using pond water compositions are provided. The system may include a rainwater collection system, a water purification system, a condensate collection system, and a mixing tank configured to receive and mix the various water sources to form a pond water. A system for forming a fracturing fluid is provided, wherein the system may include the system for producing a pond water, an additive feed system, and a mixer configured to receive and mix pond water from the mixing tank with one or more additives from the additive feed system to produce a frac fluid. A method of fracturing a well is also provided, which may include producing a pond water, mixing the pond water with one or more additives to form a frac fluid, and pumping the frac fluid downhole to fracture the well.

Abstract: A testing system includes a main wellbore, at least one injection tunnel and production tunnel, a monitoring system including at least one sensor, and a recovering tube. The injection and production tunnels are parallel with each other and extend perpendicularly from the main wellbore. The method for conducting in-situ oil recovery sweep testing includes introducing an injection fluid into a main wellbore and at least one injection tunnel, monitoring conditions of the at least one production tunnel, and collecting produced fluid from the production tunnel with a recovering tube. A method for conducting sequential in-situ oil recovery sweep testing includes locating a recovering tube in a target production tunnel and conducting a sweeping process. The sweeping process includes introducing an injection fluid into an injection tunnel, monitoring conditions of the target production tunnel, collecting a produced fluid from the target production tunnel, isolating the target production tunnel, and repeating.

Abstract: A power generation system includes a hydrogen sulfide separator, a hydrocarbon fractionator, a hydrogen sulfide processor, a methane processor, and a hydrogen power generator. The hydrogen sulfide separator separates a gaseous flowback stream into a stream including hydrogen sulfide and a stream including hydrocarbons. The hydrocarbon fractionator fractionates hydrocarbons into methane, ethane and natural gas. The hydrogen sulfide processor converts hydrogen sulfide into hydrogen and sulfur, and the methane processor converts methane into hydrogen and carbon. The hydrogen power generator reacts hydrogen with oxygen to generate electricity. A method for generating electricity from a gaseous flowback includes separating a gaseous flowback stream into a stream including hydrogen sulfide and a stream including hydrocarbons, fractionating hydrocarbons into methane, ethane and natural gas, converting hydrogen sulfide into hydrogen and sulfur, converting methane into hydrogen and carbon, and reacting hydrogen with oxygen to generate electricity.
