    摘要: This invention provides a method of preparing a polymeric delivery system for active ingredients having enhanced site specific release performance characteristics. The delivery system is formed either by attaching the active ingredient to a linker through an acid-sensitive covalent bond, then forming a covalent bond between the linker and a portion of the subunits of a crosslinked polystyrene polymer, or by attaching a linker to a portion of the subunits of a crosslinked polystyrene polymer, then attaching the active ingredient to the polymer-linker combination through an acid-sensitive covalent bond. The invention also provides a delivery system comprising an active ingredient covalently bonded through an acid-sensitive covalent bond to a linker, which is in turn covalently bonded to a portion of subunits of a crosslinked polystyrene polymer. The invention further provides a method for treatment or prevention of gastric ulcers using a delivery system capable of delivering prostaglandin or prostacyclin drugs, especially misoprostol.

    摘要: A process for the manufacture of phosphorous acid by selective hydrolysis of phosphite esters. A hydrolysis feed mixture comprising phosphite esters and phosphate esters is contacted with liquid water or steam to selectively hydrolyze the phosphite esters to phosphorous acid. The feed mixture may be prepared by oxidation of elemental phosphorous in the presence of an alcohol. In the oxidation and/or a subsequent esterification step, P(III) and P(V) oxyacids produced in the oxidation reaction are esterified, preferably quantitatively. The ester mixture may be washed to remove unesterified phosphoric and hypophosphorous acid, after which the selective hydrolysis is carried out.

    摘要: An interlayer comprised of a thermoplastic resin, varying amounts of an epoxidized vegetable oil, and, optionally, a conventional plasticizer. The use of a thermoplastic resin, an epoxidized vegetable (plant) oil, and, optionally, a conventional plasticizer creates synergy allowing the flow of the interlayer to be increased without sacrificing other characteristics typically associated with an increased flow (e.g., increased blocking and creep, exudation, surface roughness formation, decreased mechanical strength, and decreased manufacturing capability). In this regard, the epoxidized vegetable oil acts as a flow improvement agent, resulting in a high-flow interlayer. As a result, a thinner interlayer can be utilized in forming multiple layer panels because the resulting thinner interlayer has improved flow properties.
