摘要: Provided are an additive for an electrolyte for a lithium battery, an electrolyte for a lithium battery, the electrolyte including the additive, and a lithium battery using the electrolyte. The additive includes a compound represented by Formula 1: [P4O10]x.[B(OSiR1R2R3)3]y Formula 1 wherein R1, R2, R3, and the molar ratio of x to y (x/y) are as defined in the specification. By adding the compound to the electrolyte, the lifetime characteristics of the lithium battery at high temperature may be improved.

摘要: An electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery including the same are provided. The electrolyte may include a lithium salt, an organic solvent, and an additives (e.g., sulfolane, cyclic phosphate, cyclic phosphite) that form a cathode electrolyte interface film to protect the surface of a positive electrode. Utilization of the additives may improve cycle-life characteristics and suppress or reduce increases to resistance during high-temperature storage of the lithium secondary battery.

摘要: A composite positive active material includes a lithium nickel cobalt aluminum composite oxide. A full width at half maximum (FWHM) of a peak of a (104) plane of the lithium nickel cobalt aluminum composite oxide is 0.15 or less and an FWHM of a peak of a (108) plane of the lithium nickel cobalt aluminum composite oxide is 0.15 or less, the peaks being obtained by X-ray diffraction analysis using a CuKα X-ray. A method of preparing the composite positive active material, and a lithium secondary battery including a positive electrode including the composite positive active material are disclosed.
