An electronic apparatus and a control method are provided. The electronic apparatus includes a transceiver, a memory configured to store an artificial intelligence (AI) model, and a processor configured to control the transceiver to receive environment information from at least one of a plurality of devices that are connected to the electronic apparatus, determine that a predicted device of the plurality of devices will lose a network connection based on the first AI model and the environment information, and in response to determining the predicted device will lose the network connection, maintain the network connection of the predicted device through another device of the plurality of devices. The electronic apparatus may use a rule-based model or an AI model trained by using at least one of a machine learning algorithm, a neural network algorithm, or a deep-learning algorithm.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a communication circuit, a memory, and at least one processor, wherein, when instructions stored in the memory are executed, the instructions cause the at least one processor to establish communication connections with a plurality of external electronic devices for providing an intelligent speech service, receive at least one piece of information related to a user utterance including a specific word for wake-up from at least some of the plurality of external electronic devices, identify a device to be woken up among the at least some of the plurality of external electronic devices, based on at least one piece of information received during a time interval for identifying the device to be woken up, and change the time interval to a first time interval longer than the time interval, based on a reception time point of at least one piece of second information when the at least one piece of second information is received after the time interval.

A method and an apparatus for preventing an erroneous operation according to generation of an interrupt signal during separation and mounting procedures of an earphone are provided. The method includes detecting generation of an interrupt associated with a change in a connection state between the earphone and an interface unit, determining the connection state when the generation of the interrupt is detected, determining whether a preset stabilizing time for stabilizing the change in the connection state has elapsed, determining whether the determined connection state is identical with a connection state before the generation of the interrupt when the preset stabilizing time elapses, and maintaining the connection state before the generation of the interrupt when the determined connection state is identical with the connection state before the generation of the interrupt.
