A method of automatically reconnecting a master device and a slave device performed by the master device includes performing a pairing operation with the slave device, connecting to the slave device when the pairing operation is finished, and attempting to reconnect to the slave device according to whether an unpairing message is received from the slave device.

A technology for a client streaming content of a server is provided. The technology includes a service installed in the client that receives the content from the server instead of a media player, downloads the content in a cache having a larger capacity than a memory buffer of the media player, and then transfers data stored in the cache to the media player. Accordingly, even when the memory buffer is full, data reception from the server is not stopped, and thus power consumption of the server and the client may be reduced. Also, since a connection to the server is performed by the service instead of the media player, various socket interfaces may be supported without having to change the media player, and since data is stored in the cache, a buffering time may be reduced.

A display apparatus for mirroring a screen image is provided. The display apparatus includes a display unit configured to display a predetermined screen image, an input unit configured to receive a predetermined command or data, a control unit configured to control the predetermined screen image to be transmitted to another display apparatus in order to make the other display apparatus mirror the predetermined screen image, and to reduce power consumption used to display the predetermined screen image when screen image mirroring is requested, and a communication unit configured to transmit the predetermined screen image to the other display apparatus. Also, the display apparatus reduces the power consumption caused when a mirroring service is used.

A method for providing a service related to a plurality of mirroring images displayed on a screen of a sink device is provided. The method includes determining a first object in a first mirroring image that is displayed on the screen of the sink device, based on a user input, as the first object is moved to a location in a second mirroring image that is displayed on the screen of the sink device, determining a second object that corresponds to the location to which the first object has been moved, determining a service related to the first object and the second object, from among services provided via the second mirroring image, and outputting a result of the determined service.
Abstract:
A method of dynamically buffering content for providing a streaming service is provided. The method includes estimating a maximum amount of decrease in a network speed based on a result of measuring a network, and determining an amount of data to be buffered so that additional buffering, after playback of content is started, does not cause playback interruption, based on a maximum amount of decrease in the network speed, a total size of the content, a speed of playing the content, and a speed of receiving the content.
