Abstract: A mobile terminal and a method operating the same are provided. The method includes generating a list of a service that may be provided to an external via a Local Area Network (LAN), transmitting the generated service list to the external terminal, receiving a request for providing a service that is included in the service list from the external terminal, and connecting the mobile terminal to the external terminal via the LAN and providing the requested service to the external terminal.
