Provided is a method of recognizing text in a terminal, the method including generating first tag information about a kind of language set in a user interface (UI) for inputting text and a location of a cursor at a time point when a text input has started, when the UI for inputting text displayed on the terminal is executed; when a language switch request that requests the terminal to switch the kind of language set in the UI is received, generating second tag information about a kind of switched language and a location of the cursor at a time point of receiving the language switch request; when the text input is finished, storing a screen image of the terminal; and recognizing the text input to the terminal based on at least one piece of tag information and the screen image.
Abstract:
A convolution neural network (CNN)-based image processing method and apparatus are provided. The CNN-based image processing method includes identifying whether values of pixels of each of feature maps having a plurality of channels at a first layer are zero, and storing information regarding a result of identifying whether the values of the pixels are zero; writing image feature information of the feature maps at the first layer to an external memory; reading information regarding pixels having values which are not zero among the written image feature information from the external memory based on the information regarding the result of identifying whether the values of the pixels are zero; and performing a feature map operation at a second layer using the read image feature information of the feature maps.

An artificial intelligence (AI) system and application thereof, where the AI system simulates functions (e.g., recognition and judgment of the human brain) by using a machine learning algorithm like deep learning. In particular, an AI system and a method of providing content based on applications thereof are provided. The method includes obtaining, by an electronic device, a plurality of images included in content; and determining a time point for displaying an advertisement reproduced in synchronization with the content, based on at least one of a type of the content, image characteristics of the plurality of images, and a viewing pattern of a user.
