    Abstract: A method of a first UE comprises: determining a sidelink synchronization identity (SL-SID) and a set of resources; generating at least one sidelink synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel (S-SSB) based on the SL-SID and the set of resources, wherein each S-SSB of the at least one S-SSB includes first two symbols for a sidelink primary synchronization signal (S-PSS) and second two symbols for a sidelink secondary synchronization signal (S-SSS); generating a first sequence corresponding to the S-PSS, wherein the first sequence is determined based on a binary phase shift keying (BPSK) modulated M-sequence with a 127 of sequence length and a low cross-correlation with a PSS; generating a second sequence corresponding to the S-SSS, wherein the second sequence is determined based on a BPSK modulated Gold-sequence with a 127 of sequence length; and transmitting, the at least one S-SSB over sidelink channels established with the second UE.

    Abstract: A method of a first user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises: receiving, from a second UE via a sidelink, signals including information to select resources for at least one of aperiodic traffic or periodic traffic; decoding sidelink control information (SCI) from the information included in the signals; performing, over a sensing window, a signal measurement of the received signals; identifying a resource selection window based on a latency requirement; reserving the resources for the at least one of aperiodic traffic or periodic traffic in a frequency domain and a time domain based on the decoded SCI and a result of the signal measurement, the resources being identified within a resource selection window; and transmitting, to the second UE via the sidelink, the at least one of aperiodic traffic or periodic traffic using the reserved resources.

    Abstract: A method of user equipment (UE) for beam management in a wireless communication system comprises receiving, from a base station (BS), at least two groups of Tx beams comprising transmit (Tx) signals generated from different antenna panels, the at least two groups of Tx beams transmitted through reference signals; receiving, from the BS, configuration information including a selection constraint for the at least two groups of Tx beams; measuring, based on the configuration information, at least one beam from each of the at least two groups of beams; selecting at least one Tx beam from each of the at least two groups and a same Rx beam set as an Rx beam corresponding to respective selected Tx beams; and transmitting, to the BS, a reporting message including information of the selected Tx beams and the selected same Rx beam set corresponding to the Rx beam.

    Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for low-overhead and low latency multi-beam operation in an advanced wireless communication system. A method of a user equipment (UE) for a multi-beam operation in a wireless communication system includes: receiving, from a base station (BS), a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource configuration; receiving, from the BS, a triggering message instructing the UE to transmit an SRS; receiving, from the BS, a configuration for a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state that includes an identification (ID) indicating the SRS resource configuration; identifying a set of resources to transmit the SRS; and transmitting, to the BS over an uplink channel, the SRS based on the SRS resource configuration with a spatial domain transmission filter. The UE receives a downlink transmission from the BS with a spatial domain receive filter that is determined according to the ID included in the TCI state that is indicated for the downlink transmission.

    Abstract: A method for reporting channel information by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method comprises receiving, by the UE, configuration information from a base station (BS), the configuration information indicating K channel state information (CSI) reference signal (RS) resources configured, by the BS, for measurement by the UE; measuring, by the UE, a layer one (LI) reference signal received power (RSRP) for one or more of the K CSI-RS resources; selecting, by the UE, N of the K CSI-RS resources for reporting in a reporting instance; generating, by the UE, a report for the N CSI-RS resources, the generated report including a CSI-RS resource index (CRI) for each of the N CSI-RS resources, a L1-RSRP value for one of the N CSI-RS resources having a largest L1-RSRP, and a differential L1-RSRP value for each of the other of the N CSI-RS resources; and transmitting, by the UE, the generated report to the BS in the reporting instance.
