Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for feeding back channel estimation in a MIMO system. A terminal receives a reference signal for estimating a channel from a base station; estimates the channel based on the reference signal; generates channel estimation information according to the channel estimation result and generates error information indicating an error of the channel estimation; and transmits feedback information including the channel estimation information and the error information to the base station.
Abstract:
A method performed by a radio unit (RU) is provided. The method includes receiving, by the RU, sounding reference signals (SRSs), receiving, by the RU from a distributed unit (DU) via a fronthaul interface, a control plane (C-plane) message including SRS configuration information, performing, by the RU, channel estimation based on the SRSs and the SRS configuration information, and performing, by the RU, beamforming on the basis of the channel estimation.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates. According to various embodiments disclosed herein, a method performed in a wireless communication system by a distributed unit (DU) comprises: receiving a sounding reference signal (SRS) for channel estimation from a terminal; based on the received SRS, generating information on a channel prediction performed by a radio unit (RU); and transmitting a control message including the generated information on the channel prediction to the RU through a control plane (C-plane), wherein the information on the channel prediction includes an index of the terminal and information on the SRS.
Abstract:
A radio unit (RU) is provided. The RU includes memory storing instructions, one or more transceivers configured to transmit signals or receive signals on a fronthaul interface, and one or more processors. Wherein the instructions cause, when executed by the one or more processors, the RU to receive, from a distributed unit (DU), a control plane (C-plane) message including section information for user equipment (UE) scheduling information and section extension information for a group configuration of multiple ports, wherein the section information including information on a resource region of a section description and a UE identifier, and the section extension information including information on a beam group type, information on the number of one or more ports indicated by the section extension information, and a UE identifier per port, and, in case that a UE identifier of a specified port is set to 0x7FFF in the C-plane message, identify that the resource region is not allocated for the specified port.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A method performed by a digital unit (DU) of a base station in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes configuring, in a first control message, a section extension field including additional information, and transmitting the first control message to a radio unit (RU) of the base station, wherein the first control message includes information on one or more terminals scheduled in the base station.
Abstract:
A PSCG feedback-based multi-stream multiuser CQI estimation method and apparatus is provided for estimating multi-stream MU-CQI efficiently based on per-stream channel gain feedback. A feedback information transmission method of a terminal in a wireless communication system according to the present disclosure includes estimating a downlink channel based on a channel state information reference signal transmitted by a base station, determining a number of streams based on the estimated downlink channel, generating the feedback information corresponding to the number of streams, and transmitting the feedback information to the base station.
