Abstract: A smart contact lens includes a contact lens, a nanostructures layer, a first sensor, a connector, and a smart module. The nanostructures layer may be anti-bacterial. The smart contact lens may be worn on an eye or may be implanted within an eye. The nanostructures layer is fabricated by depositing a colloidal dispersion onto an electrostatically-coated substrate. The colloidal dispersion is then removed and nanoholes are etched. The electrostatic coating is removed and a biocompatible material is spin-coated onto the substrate. Upon removal, a quasi-randomly distributed nanostructures layer forms.

Abstract: A computing device includes a system that authenticates a user of the computing device. A first sensor obtains a first representation of a physical characteristic of the user that is compared to a registered representation of the physical characteristic of the user. A first level of access to the computing device is enabled based on the first representation of the physical characteristic matching the second representation of the physical characteristic. A second sensor obtains a first representation of a liveness characteristic of the user that indicates that the user is alive. The first representation of the liveness characteristic is compared to a registered representation of the liveness characteristic of the user. A second level of access to the computing device is enabled based on the first representation of the liveness characteristic of the user matching the second representation of the liveness characteristic of the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing food are disclosed. A first sensor captures first sensor data. A processor determines, based on the first sensor data, whether food has been detected, and invokes a second sensor in response to the determining. The second sensor captures second sensor data. The processor predicts, based on the first and second sensor data, a characteristic of the food. The processor further predicts a body’s response to the food based on the characteristic, and outputs a recommendation based on the predicting of the body’s response.
