Abstract: A method for controlling an electronic device including a touch panel, the method comprising: acquiring a first signal from a first area of the touch panel and acquiring a second signal from a second area of the touch panel; detecting whether a potential difference of the first signal and the second signal is larger than a preset threshold; and detecting whether a first touch corresponding to the first area and a second touch corresponding to the second area are performed by using one hand based on whether the potential difference of the first signal and the second signal is larger than the preset threshold.
