Abstract: An electronic device may include: a foldable housing; at least one sensor; a first display having a first size and a first pixel density; a second display having a second size and a second pixel density; a processor; and a memory. The memory may store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to control the electronic device to: display at least one first surface image generated based on the window having the first size through the first display; change the size of the window to a third size based on information associated with the first display and the second display in response to detecting a first event through the at least one sensor based on the at least one first surface image being displayed; and display at least one second surface image generated based on the window, of which the size has been changed to the third size, through the second display.

The processor may be set to control the first display to display a first screen of a first application while in a folded state, the first screen corresponding to the first display, control the second display to display a transition screen when unfolding is detected, and control the second display to display a second screen in replacement of the transition screen upon the completion of at least one operation set to be performed in order to display the second screen, corresponding to the second display, of the first application.
