    Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a communication circuit for communicating with at least one external electronic device, memory that stores configuration reference information for selecting at least one piece of data, and a processor communicatively coupled to the communication circuit and the memory.     Abstract: An electronic device and/or a clipboard operation method thereof. An electronic device may include a display module, a memory and a processor. The processor may: while an execution screen of an application is displayed, detect a first user input for a clip of specified content; on the basis of the first user input, generate clip data including contextual information and a clip object associated with the content, and store same in the memory; detect a second user input related to calling a clipboard; on the basis of the detection of the second user input, analyze a task that is currently being carried out on the electronic device; call the clipboard on the basis of the detection of the second user input; extract clip data corresponding to the task, among a plurality of clip data of the clipboard; and provide, through the display module, a clipboard which is based on the clip data corresponding to the task. Various embodiments are possible.
