Abstract: A method of an electronic device for controlling an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is provided, The method includes receiving, from the UAV related to the electronic device, a signal including information regarding at least one parameter for determining an area where the UAV is capable of flying, determining the area where the UAV is capable of flying based on the information regarding the at least one parameter, and displaying information indicating the determined area where the UAV is capable of flying by superimposing the same on information indicating a region where the UAV is located.
