A dialog type interface apparatus providing contents corresponding to a voice signal received from the display apparatus is disclosed. The dialog type interface apparatus includes a communicator which receives a voice signal corresponding to a user's voice collected in the display apparatus; and a controller which determines the user's utterance intentions using the voice signal, and which controls to generate a query for searching contents corresponding to the determined utterance intentions, divide metadata on the contents, and transmit the divided metadata to an external server, wherein the controller extracts an utterance element for determining the utterance intentions from the voice signal, and converts the extracted utterance element to correspond to contents dividing criteria of each item to generate the query.

The server includes a communicator configured to communicate with a terminal apparatus, a storage configured to store information regarding contexts collectable from the terminal apparatus, a determinator configured to, in response to an occurrence of an event to change a service provided by the server, determine whether contexts regarding the changed service are collectable from the terminal apparatus based on the information regarding contexts and a controller configured to, in response to the determinator determining that the contexts regarding the changed service are collectable, request the terminal apparatus to transmit the contexts regarding the changed service and provide the changed service based on the contexts received in response to the request.

The display apparatus according to an example embodiment includes a display configured to display a broadcast program, a storage configured to store a viewing history information regarding broadcasting programs viewed through the display apparatus, and a processor configured to determine a channel analysis model from among a plurality of channel analysis models based on a viewing history information related to a time when a predetermined event occurs in the display apparatus, to generate a channel list through the determined channel analysis model and to display the channel list on the display, and the channel list includes information regarding a broadcast program which is expected to be viewed at a time when a predetermined event occurs in the display apparatus. Accordingly, a channel list for broadcast programs which are expected to be viewed at a time when a predetermined event occurs in the display apparatus is provided and thus, the user may easily reproduce a desired broadcast program.
