The mobile device includes communication circuitry configured to receive a signal transmitted from a wireless transmitter; and a processor configured to determine identification information of the wireless transmitter based on the received signal and signal intensity information based on an intensity of the received signal, and provide the identification information and the determined signal intensity information to an application executed in the mobile device in order to send, to a server, a request for information based on the identification information and the determined signal intensity information.
