Provided are a garment treatment device and method for guiding a user through treatment of a garment. The garment treatment device obtains garment information of a plurality of garments accommodated in the garment treatment device, through a tag reader, determine, based on the obtained garment information, whether there is a garment that needs to be separated from other garments among the plurality of garments, based on determining that there is the garment that needs to be separated from the other garments, output, through output components, guide information for guiding a user through separating the garment that needs to be separated from the other garments, along with identification information of the garment that needs to be separated, and control garment treatment components according to a user input received in response to the guide information, to wash or dry the other garments with or without the garment that needs to be separated.

A method may include transmitting, by a spot cleaner, an end signal to notify an end of a washing process performed by the spot cleaner in which a garment was cleaned by the spot cleaner, based on completion of the washing process, wherein the spot cleaner is positionable inside a clothes care apparatus so that the washing process is performable by the spot cleaner while the spot cleaner and garment are inside the clothes care apparatus, and the spot cleaner is positionable outside of the clothes care apparatus so that the washing process is performable by the spot cleaner while the spot cleaner and garment are outside of the clothes care apparatus; and performing, by the clothes care apparatus, a clothes care process or providing an interface to start the clothes care process, based on the end signal having been transmitted by the spot cleaner.

The home appliance control method includes, when a user is detected in a first space among a plurality of spaces within a home, determining whether the user is using the first space, based on a first usage time for which the user stays in the first space, when it is determined that the detected user is using the first space, determining a second space predicted to be used next by the user among the plurality of spaces within the home, based on user routine information including a spatial movement prediction path of the user predicted in advance for the plurality of spaces within the home, and controlling an operation of at least one home appliance of the second space.

A method of controlling a temperature adjusting device and a server device for performing the method are provided. The method includes obtaining user sleep information comprising at least one of a body temperature value, a heart rate value, or a respiration value of a user, determining a current sleep stage of the user based on the user sleep information, determining whether the body temperature value exceeds a body temperature range corresponding to the current sleep stage, and controlling at least one temperature adjusting device based on a determination that the body temperature value exceeds the body temperature range.

A method of controlling a home appliance, and an electronic device for performing the method are provided. The method includes obtaining sleep information of a user and operation information of each of a plurality of home appliances, determining a noise source device which causes noise outside a deep sleep range, from among the plurality of home appliances, at a time when a sleep phase of the user included in the sleep information is changed, and controlling operation of the noise source device so that noise caused from the noise source device is generated within the deep sleep range.

The mobile robot includes a communication circuitry configured to communicate with at least one of a user device or a server, a sensor configured to collect environmental information of an indoor space, and a controller configured to be electrically connected to the sensor and the communication circuitry. The controller is configured to: store the environmental information of each of a plurality of zones of the indoor space obtained by the sensor, set a purpose of a first zone of the plurality of zones, based on a user input or the environmental information of each of the plurality of zones, and generate information recommending a target device to be placed in the first zone, based on environmental information of the first zone and required environmental information corresponding to the set purpose.

A Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) Direct connection method for a User Equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes receiving a probe signal from at least one device; comparing location information in the probe signal with location information of the UE; and performing the Wi-Fi Direct connection for the at least one device transmitting the probe signal including location information that is the same as that of the UE. In addition, a method of supporting a Wi-Fi Direct connection for a wireless Access Point (AP) is provided. The method includes receiving common location information from at least one gateway; and transmitting unique identification information of the wireless AP and the common location information to at least one Wi-Fi Direct support device, wherein the unique identification information and the common location information are used to create location information, which is included in a probe signal, in the Wi-Fi Direct support device.

The washing machine receives, through an input interface, a user input of setting a desired time for washing and drying of laundry to be completed, calculates a minimum time required for the washing and drying of the laundry to be completed, based on determining that the desired time is less than the minimum time required, displays, through a display, guide information for completing the washing and drying of the laundry within the desired time, and based on a user input according to the guide information, drives washing components and drying components to wash and dry the laundry within the desired time.

The controller may be configured to: determine a target user to provide the information related to the operation of the electronic device, based on at least one of state information of the electronic device or user information obtained by the sensor, obtain event information about a change in the operation of the electronic device, determine a notification type of the event information, based on at least one of a location of the target user or a state of the target user, and control the user interface to provide the event information in the determined notification type.
