Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G communication system such as LTE. To this end, a base station using a large-scale antenna transmits, to a terminal, reference signal resource configuration information including multiple pieces of reference signal configuration information and reference signal port information, for transmission of a reference signal, and transmits the reference signal to the terminal using some or all of channel measurement resources indicated by the multiple pieces of reference signal configuration information and the reference signal port information included in the reference signal resource configuration information. In this case, the channel measurement resources may correspond to antenna ports, the number of which is indicated by a combination of the multiple pieces of reference signal configuration information and the reference signal port information.

A method of receiving channel feedback information by an evolved node B (eNB) in a communication system using multiple antennas, provided in an embodiment of the present disclosure, includes generating reference signal configuration information comprising power boosting information associated with reference signals; transmitting the reference signal configuration information to a user equipment (UE); and receiving channel feedback information on a channel state estimated based on the reference signal configuration information from the UE.

Abstract: A method, provided by the present disclosure, of transmitting a reference signal by means of a base station in a wireless communication system using a plurality of antenna ports comprises the steps of: mapping wireless resources, for transmitting a reference signal, to a plurality of antenna ports for transmitting the reference signal; and using the wireless resources and transmitting the reference signal to a terminal through the mapped antenna ports. A method for controlling uplink transmission power of a terminal in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: initializing a power control adjustment value when a repetition level for a coverage enhancement mode is changed; updating the power control adjustment value according to a transmission power control (TPC) command received from a base station; calculating uplink transmission power on the basis of the updated power control adjustment value and the repetition level; and transmitting uplink data or control information by the calculated uplink transmission power.
