Abstract:
A method of reducing delay in Circuit Switched FallBack (CSFB) in a Radio Access Technology (RAT) communications network. The method includes initiating, by a terminal, a combined attach procedure by sending an attach request message to the RAT communications network, receiving, by the terminal, an attach accept message along with Location Area Identification (LAI) information from the network in response to the attach request message, checking, by the terminal, network identifier information in a RAT information table based on the received LAI, and selecting a mobile network based on the network identifier information to trigger establishment of a circuit-switched call.
Abstract:
A method for optimizing PWS message reception in multi-SIM multi-standby UE and UE thereof are disclosed. In an embodiment, the method includes receiving a scheduling information of SIBs containing a PWS message from a first network entity and the scheduling information of SIBs containing the PWS message from second network entity. The method checks whether a PWS message identifier is present in a primary CBS configuration list of the first SIM and if so, receives the SIBs based on the scheduling information. The method checks whether the PWS message identifier is present in a secondary CBS configuration list of the second SIM, and terminates reception of the SIBs by the second SIM when the PWS message identifier is absent. A CBS notification is sent by the first SIM, containing the PWS message to a CBS controller in the absence of error while receiving the PWS message from the SIBs.
Abstract:
Some example embodiments disclose methods for selecting registered public land mobile network (RPLMN) radio access technology (RAT) modes in wireless communication devices. The method as disclosed herein includes determining location information of the wireless communication device; validating the location information; deriving a RPLMN from the validated location information when the validating is successful; storing a RPLMN access technology (AccTech) based on the derived RPLMN; and selecting a RAT mode using the stored RPLMN AccTech.

Abstract:
A method for handling an ATTACH reject message with packet radio service mobility management reject cause number (#14 cause) at a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes receiving, at the UE, an ATTACH accept message for a network service on a public land mobile network (PLMN) from a first network entity, wherein the PLMN is in a “forbidden PLMNs for general packet radio service (GPRS) service” list, detecting, by the UE, that the UE's evolved universal terrestrial radio access (E-UTRA) capability is disabled, and enabling, by the UE, the UE's E-UTRA capability and removing the PLMN from the “forbidden PLMNs for GPRS service” list.
