    Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel configured to display an image; an input sensor on the display panel; an approach sensing electrode arranged around the input sensor; and a sensor controller connected to the input sensor and the approach sensing electrode, wherein the sensor controller is configured to drive the input sensor in a first driving mode during a first input sensing frame and to drive the input sensor in a second driving mode during a second input sensing frame, and the sensor controller is further configured to provide an uplink signal to the approach sensing electrode in response to the input sensor operating in the first or second driving mode.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, an input sensor disposed on the display panel and sensing an input during a sensing frame period, a display controller receiving a vertical synchronization signal and a horizontal synchronization signal and controlling driving of the display panel in response to the vertical synchronization signal and the horizontal synchronization signal, and a sensor controller providing a transmission signal including a plurality of sampling periods to the input sensor. The display controller provides frequency information of a display frame period to the sensor controller using at least one of the vertical synchronization signal and the horizontal synchronization signal, and the sensor controller controls the number of the sampling periods of the sensing frame period based on the frequency information.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel configured to display an image. The display panel includes an electrode layer. An input sensing layer is disposed on the display panel. The input sensing layer includes a plurality of sensing electrodes including a first sensing electrode and a second sensing electrode. A plurality of signal lines is electrically connected to the plurality of sensing electrodes. The plurality of signal lines includes a first signal line electrically connected to the first sensing electrode and a second signal line electrically connected to the second sensing electrode. The first signal line has a length different from a length of the second signal line. A distance between the first signal line and the electrode layer is different from a distance between the second signal line and the electrode layer.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel configured to display an image, an input sensor disposed on the display panel to sense an input and including a first area and a second area, and a sensor controller connected to the input sensor. The input sensor includes first sensing electrodes disposed in the first area, second sensing electrodes disposed in the second area, and a boundary sensing electrode disposed to overlap a boundary between the first and second areas. The boundary sensing electrode forms a mutual capacitor with one or more of the first sensing electrodes that are adjacent to the boundary sensing electrode, and forms a mutual capacitor with one or more of the second sensing electrodes that are adjacent to the boundary sensing electrode.
