Abstract: A display apparatus may include a display timing controller and a display panel. The display timing controller generates first output image data based on first input image data and a first gamma function, and generates second output image data based on second input image data and a second gamma function. The display panel operates based on the first output image data during a first duration, and operates based on the second output image data during a second duration subsequent to the first duration. The first and second gamma functions correspond to a first region of the display panel, and a luminance of an image based on the first gamma function is different from a luminance of an image based on the second gamma function.
