    Abstract: A display device includes a compensation value determiner which generates final compensation values for an input image, a timing controller which receives input grayscales of the input image and generate output grayscales by applying the final compensation values to the input grayscales, and a pixel unit which displays an output image corresponding to the output grayscales using pixels. The compensation value determiner determines weights based on display frequencies, display brightnesses, and the input grayscales, the compensation value determiner determines compensation values based on the display frequencies and positions of the pixels, and the compensation value determiner generates the final compensation values by applying the weights to the compensation values.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a scan driver, a data compensator, and a data driver. The display panel includes a first area and a second area distinguished from each other along a scan direction. Each of the first and second areas include pixels. The scan driver is configured to sequentially provide scan signals to the display panel along the scan direction. The data compensator is configured to: detect a pattern in which a difference between adjacent grayscale values in image data is greater than a reference value; and generate compensated image data by compensating for grayscale values corresponding to the second area in the image data based on the pattern corresponding to the first area. The data driver is configured to: generate data signals based on the compensated image data; and provide the data signals to the display panel.

    Abstract: A display device may include a pixel, an emission control driver, and a timing controller. The emission control driver may supply an emission control signal set for controlling emission periods of the pixel. The timing controller may receive a received bit stream that includes a first bit set and a second bit set, may determine a first duty ratio of the emission control signal set using bits of the first bit set without using any bit of the second bit set. The first bit set may include at least two bits. The second bit set may include at least one bit. The emission control signal set may control the pixel to operate according to the first duty ratio for each frame of a first frame group.
