Abstract: A display panel a first display substrate including a non-display area in which a driving circuit and a light shielding layer are disposed, and a display area in which a pixel electrode connected to the driving circuit is disposed, a second display substrate facing the first display substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first display substrate and the second display substrate. The driving circuit includes a first transistor, a second transistor, a first branch electrode connected to the first transistor, a second branch electrode connected to the second transistor and overlapping with the first branch electrode in a direction parallel to a surface of the first display substrate, and a connection electrode connecting the first and second branch electrodes disposed on different layers from each other. The light shielding layer overlaps with the first and second transistors and exposes the first and second branch electrodes.

Abstract: A display device includes a plurality of pixels, at least one of which includes a pixel electrode, a switch, a storage electrode, and a storage electrode, and a storage electrode connecting portion. The pixel electrode is in a pixel area corresponding to a first gate line, a second gate line, a first data line, and a second data line.
