Abstract: A display apparatus includes a driver which receives an input image data (RGB), generates a compensation image data (RGBD) by compensating the input image data according to an equation 1, and generates a final image data by comparing the compensation image data to a maximum grayscale  〈 equation   1 〉 RGB D = RGB * D , wherein D = ( 100 decreasing   ratio   of   luminance ) 1 α ,  wherein   α   is   a   gamma   value , and decreasing   ratio   of   luminance = real   luminance target   luminance * 100 ; and a display panel which includes a plurality of unit pixels and displays an image based on the final image data.

Abstract: A display device includes a driving unit which outputs a driving signal, and a display panel which displays an image with at least red light, green light, and blue light in response to the driving signal where the blue light includes first color light and second color light, and a peak wavelength of the first color light is about 390 nanometers (nm) to about 410 nm and a peak wavelength of the second color light is about 480 nm to about 491 nm.
