Abstract: An electronic device includes: a display panel including a first display area at a first area, and a second display area at a second area; a plurality of first patch antennas in the first area; a plurality of second patch antennas in the second area; a display driving unit to drive the display panel; a radio frequency (RF) driving unit to drive the first and the second patch antennas; and a main processor to control the display driving unit and the RF driving unit to perform wireless data communication by using the first or the second patch antennas in a first mode in which an image is displayed through the first or second display areas, and to perform wireless data communication by using the first and the second patch antennas in a second mode in which an image is displayed through the first and second display areas.

Abstract: A display device may include a display panel, N receiving antennas integrated with the display panel, where N is an integer greater than 2, a communication module, and a display driver. The communication module receives a video communication signal using a subset of receiving antennas of the N receiving antennas and an audio communication signal using at least one receiving antenna of the N receiving antennas that is different from the subset of receiving antennas and generates original video data based on the video communication signal and audio data based on the audio communication signal. The display driver receives the original video data from the communication module and drives the display panel based on the original video data.

Abstract: A display device includes a plurality of pixels, a plurality of gate signal lines extending in a first direction and connected to the plurality of pixels, and a plurality of data signal lines extending in a second direction and connected to the plurality of pixels. The second direction crosses the first direction. The display device further includes a fingerprint sensor configured to detect fingerprint information, and a driver integrated circuit (IC) configured to transmit a plurality of scan signals to the pixels via the gate signal lines, transmit a plurality of data signals to the pixels via the data signal lines, receive the fingerprint information from the fingerprint sensor, and encrypt the received fingerprint information. The display device further includes an application processor configured to receive the encrypted fingerprint information from the driver IC.
