    Abstract: A display device includes: a pixel part partitioned into blocks; a scale factor provider which calculates a first load value of input image data for the pixel part, calculates a second load value of the input image data for each block, and generates a scale factor based on the first and second load values; and a timing controller which generates image data by scaling gray values of the input image data based on the scale factor. The scale factor provider generates a first scale factor for commonly controlling the gray values for the blocks based on the first load value, when the first load value is greater than or equal to a reference load value, and generates a second scale factor for controlling gray value for each block based on the first and second load values, when the first load value is less than the reference load value.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display divided into a plurality of blocks including pixels, a timing controller for calculating a frame load for an image frame of input image data, and for generating image data by scaling grayscale values of the input image data using a scale factor, a data driver for generating a data signal corresponding to the image data, and for supplying the data signal to the pixels, a current sensor for sensing a global current flowing in a first power source line connected to the pixels, and a scale factor provider for correcting a unit target current determined using a reference block among the blocks based on a deviation in light emitting characteristics between the blocks, for calculating a target current using the frame load and a corrected unit target current, and for comparing the target current with the global current to calculate the scale factor.

    Abstract: A display device includes pixels divided into blocks, a timing controller to generate image data based on input image data, a data driver to generate a data signal corresponding to the image data and supply the data signal to the pixels, and power supply to supply a power voltage to the pixels. In addition, the display device includes a power controller to calculate a first load value corresponding to the pixels, second load values corresponding to each of the blocks, and first peak grayscale values corresponding to each of the blocks based on the input image data. The power controller generates a power control signal to change a voltage level of the power voltage based on the first load value, the second load values, and the first peak grayscale values.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, a display panel driver, and a zone compensating circuit which divides the display panel into a plurality of unit blocks, obtains load values of input image data for the unit blocks, and generates corrected image data by correcting the input image data based on the load values. Each of the load values corresponds to one of the unit blocks. The display panel driver generates a data signal for displaying an image on the display panel based on the corrected image data. When grayscale values included in the input image data are the same, a luminance of the image displayed on the display panel is decreased moving away from a center of a reference block having a largest load value among the unit blocks based on the corrected image data.
