Abstract: A display device includes a display divided into a plurality of blocks including pixels, a timing controller for calculating a frame load for an image frame of input image data, and for generating image data by scaling grayscale values of the input image data using a scale factor, a data driver for generating a data signal corresponding to the image data, and for supplying the data signal to the pixels, a current sensor for sensing a global current flowing in a first power source line connected to the pixels, and a scale factor provider for correcting a unit target current determined using a reference block among the blocks based on a deviation in light emitting characteristics between the blocks, for calculating a target current using the frame load and a corrected unit target current, and for comparing the target current with the global current to calculate the scale factor.

Abstract: An image signal modifying method is disclosed. In one aspect, the image signal modifying method includes inputting a gray level interval of a first dynamic capacitance compensation (DCC) lookup table to a current gray level which is a target in a previous image signal when it is overdriven (DTG) and 0 to a gray level of the previous image signal (PIG). The method also includes searching for a data value in an adaptive color correction (ACC) lookup table corresponding to a gray level equal to a numerical value of the DTG (ALT) and performing an algorithm based on the DTG, the ALT, and the gray level interval of the first DCC lookup table. The method further includes generating a second DCC lookup table based on the algorithm, and performing second DCC processing on the input image signal based on the second DCC lookup table.

Abstract: A display device of the disclosure includes a grayscale converter which converts input grayscales into output grayscales based on a scale factor, a data driver which converts the output grayscales into data voltages, a plurality of pixels which receives the data voltages and displays an image based on the data voltages, and a current sensor which provides a sensing current by sensing a first power current supplied to the plurality of pixels to display the image. When a load corresponding to the input grayscales is greater than a minimum load, the grayscale converter adjusts a change amount of the scale factor based on a current difference between a target current corresponding to the load and the sensing current.

Abstract: A display device includes a pixel unit including pixels, a compensator which generate compensation image data by scaling grayscale values of input image data based on temperature data corresponding to an ambient temperature of the pixel unit, a timing controller which generates image data based on the compensation image data, and a data driver which generates a data signal corresponding to the image data and supply the data signal to the pixels. The compensator scales the grayscale values of the input image data in a way such that the grayscale values of the input image data decrease when the ambient temperature is greater than a reference temperature. The compensator scales the grayscale values of the input image data in a way such that the grayscale values of the input image data increase when the ambient temperature is less than the reference temperature.
