Abstract: A display device includes a driving controller sensing a pattern of first image signals from a source external to the driving controller and outputting a compensation selection signal corresponding to the sensed pattern. A voltage generator generates a driving power voltage in response to the compensation selection signal. The voltage generator includes a power converter generating the driving power voltage in response to a power control signal, a comparator comparing the driving power voltage with a reference voltage to output a feedback signal to a first node, and a compensation circuit including a plurality of compensation units. A selected compensation unit is connected to the first node, and a power control circuit outputs the power control signal in response to the feedback signal. The slew rate of the feedback signal may be controlled by a compensation circuit to remove a ripple component from the driving power voltage.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a source driver, and an alignment detection circuit. The display panel includes data lines and pads connected to the data lines. The source driver includes output lines connected to the pads to supply a data signal, and a detection circuit to selectively connect a first detection line supplied with a first detection voltage and a second detection line supplied with a second detection voltage to the output lines. The alignment detection circuit includes a detection capacitor connected between the first detection line and the second detection line, and a voltage detection circuit connected to one end of the detection capacitor to detect a voltage of the detection capacitor. The detection circuit connects a (2n−1)-th output line of the output lines to the first detection line, and connects a (2n)-th output line of the output lines to the second detection line.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel, a gate driver and a data driver. The display panel displays an image and includes first sub-pixels which display a first color, second sub-pixels which display a second color different from the first color, first gate lines to which only the first sub-pixels are connected, second gate lines to which only the second sub-pixels are connected, and data lines. The gate sequentially applies first gate signals only to the first gate lines during a first duration of a first frame, and sequentially applies second gate signals only to the second gate lines during a second duration of the first frame, where the second duration is subsequent to the first duration. The data driver outputs data voltages to the data lines based on input image data in synchronization with a driving sequence of the first and second gate lines.

Abstract: A method includes applying a common voltage to a display panel, digitally converting a feedback common voltage from the display panel, detecting an effective ripple signal exceeding a reference value based on the digitally converted feedback common voltage, comparing a total number of effective ripple signals detected during a first frame period with a threshold value, determining whether the effective ripple signals of the first frame period are crosstalk inducing signals based on a comparison result, and determining whether to change a polarity pattern of image data signals to be applied to the display panel during a second frame period based on a determination result in terms of the crosstalk inducing signal.
